All Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches should attend the meeting. You will be issued the team equipment bags at this meeting as well.
In April JAYBA will be hosting a members-only, A-Boys pitching clinic. This clinic will be led by former MLB Pitcher Paul Wagner. Paul has played for many MLB teams and has had a great deal of success in the Majors. Paul has agreed to come to teach our A-Boys athletes how to pitch like a big leaguer. Paul will spend an hour with our A-Boys team and coaches to help them learn the fundamentals of pitching and how to become a better pitcher. The pitching camp will be held at Town Hall Fields during a regularly scheduled practice. We are narrowing dates near the end of April for this clinic, more details to follow.
Registration for our A-Boys program is still open, sign up before its too late.
Happy Hump Day!!! Our store is now open!!!! We have some great new options for the latest JAYBA gear. We have opened the store now so that you can take advantage of the gear throughout the season. Orders ship in about 12-14 business days, once the store closes. We will keep the store open through March 31st. Please take a look at let us know if you would like something else, and we will try to make it happen.
The winter is here and the new year is upon us. We are just days away from opening our 2019 Baseball, Softball, and TBall registration. Registration begins January 1st, 2019. We hope you will join us in 2019.
We are busy planning away for 2019. We have plans to improve all aspects of the league in 2019. During the offseason, we have made drastic improvements in our playing surfaces. We have had all the weeds pulled and the grass edges, on all our diamonds, has been cut back and groomed, plus we have had the baseball diamonds leveled. We are also looking to make improvements to our scoreboard operations and electrical outlets on Fields 3 & 4. Lastly, we are in the process of purchasing some additional equipment to help keep the fields groomed. We hope these improvements will make playing at Town Hall Fields even more enjoyable.
We hope to improve other features of our league as well. We are looking to establish a regular & consistent schedule for both the Girls & Boys programs; making it easier for parents to plan and prepare for the weeks ahead. Also, we have created two different groups for TBall. We will have two options for parents.
1. TBall (ages 4-5) will provide an opportunity for first-time players to try baseball. Core skills such as throwing, catching, and hitting will be the focus for this age group. The team sizes will remain small to offer a better opportunity for support and instruction from our coaches.
2. Coach Pitch TBall (ages 5-7) will be closer to what things were like in the year previous. Coaches will pitch to the players and if they are unable to hit, we will use the Tee. Coach Pitch will also encourage the kids to take skills to the next level and help them prepare for Rookies Baseball & Rookies Softball.
Hopefully, this information is helpful, and it will answer any questions you may have about registration. If you have questions, please feel free to email me anytime. Lastly, don't forget about our OffSeason Skills Camp. Registration is closing soon.
3. Now offering AA Boys. Back by popular demand, we will be offering AA Boys. This age group is for kids ages 11, 12, & 13 years old. This team has NOT been filled in the past, therefore, please sign up but you will be waitlisted until the team is full. You do not need to pay until you know if the team is full or not.
